For over a decade, Penticton Pet Resort has been trusted as the premier pet resort of the South Okanagan. Penticton Pet Resort is a family owned business. Lindsey, the owner, is extremely passionate about animals. A lifelong dog lover and owner, Lindsey knows what pet owners expect and what their beloved pets need.
Penticton Pet Resort’s staff is knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy. Our goal is to offer you all the conveniences and elite service you and your beloved pets need.
Lindsey was born and raised in the Penticton area. Being around animals has always been a way of life for Lindsey. Growing up she had dogs and cats at home and volunteered at local ranches in exchange for riding.
After college, Lindsey worked in the education field during the week while spending weekends walking dogs and house-sitting for people with many types of pets including everything from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards to horses and other farm animals.
In 2006, Lindsey decided to work full time in pet care and started walking dogs and boarding dogs at her home. She soon realized that she had found her true calling and opened Penticton Pet Resort in 2007, a business devoted to professional dog care.
Lindsey knows how important it is to continue to learn and to keep up with the latest advancements in pet care. Lindsey continues to take numerous courses in dog training and behaviour. She has also been certified in Pet first Aid by St. John Ambulance and by Walks and Wags.
Giving back to the community is important to Lindsey. She volunteers as a guest speaker at SPCA kids camps. She also holds classes at local dog parks for elementary schools, educating kids on how to care for and respect dogs.
Lindsey’s favourite part of every day is leading mountain hikes for her pack of regulars, with her own dog, Olive leading the way.
When it comes to animals, Lindsey has endless energy! She puts this towards her goal of providing the absolute best care for all her furry clients.
Okanagan born and raised, Sydney grew up a naturally quiet and gentle individual with a strong respect for nature and all its inhabitants. Growing up around critters made living and working with animals second nature for Sydney. From exotic to domestic they have all been an important guiding force towards her personal goal of pursuing dog training. Being part of the team at Penticton Pet Resort and caring for the abundance of personalities that walk through the door, allow her all the experience she needs to reach her own goals.
Sydney’s pets: dog (Tatonka), horse (Breezy)
Hey there, I’m Farrah! I’m so glad to be working at Penticton Pet Resort. I have been surrounded by animals my entire life and they are a huge passion of mine. I watched the crocodile hunter as a kid and since then I knew I wanted to help them as much as I could. I remember my mom telling me you “can’t save them all”, well I sure can love them all!
I currently own one dog, Sakura the Great Pyrenees and two cats, Kailala and Napoleon.
Meet Natasha, a born and raised local. She has always been an animal lover, from her childhood cats and husky, to the various lovables that followed. She now has one wildly loved mutt of her own that keeps her on her toes. She enjoys helping all our furry four legged friends wiggle-butt their way through our door everyday. Natasha is glad to have found a place she is passionate about that also provides opportunities to work hard with great reward.
Kate has grown up around dogs and has loved them from an early age. She has learned to care for dogs by volunteering at the Penticton Pet Resort. Kate is now in high school and works for us full time in the summer and part time during the school year. Kate loves all our client pets and hopes to one day run a pet resort of her own.
Payton is a full time student and works for us during the summer and on weekends and evenings during the school year. She has lots of experience with horses, dogs, and other animals. We are happy to have Payton on our team!
